hello!
My name is Ellie Copeland and I’m a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design. I received a BFA in Animation focusing on Concept Development with a minor in Visual Effects. Growing up in Minnesota, I aspired to be creative in every aspect of my life, as the seasons were as diverse as my interests. As I grew and developed my skills, there were times where my creativeness had to be put on hold, to conquer challenges life threw at me. However, as I learned during the multiple years I partook in completive sports, you can overcome these challenges by finding the joy in them. Having fun every day and looking forward to doing things that bring me joy, keeps me focused and dedicated to my art, even when the challenges of life seem endless.
My portfolio contains a wide range of disciplines including character and concept design, storyboarding, background paint, illustration, animation, and visual effects. In everything I do, I am always looking to create the best piece I can while being proud of what I put forth to an audience. I’ve been a freelancer for over six years and especially love working with clients to develop their ideas into engaging pieces that delight and captivate their imagination. My highest ambition is to work in the entertainment animation industry where I can participate in creating movies and TV shows that inspire the next generation of artists.
